Blake Lively 'fat-shamed' by Justin Baldoni during filming of It Ends With Us
Blake Lively reportedly felt "fat-shamed" by Justin Baldoni after he commented on her weight while filming "It Ends With Us," according to a recent report.
Baldoni, 40, allegedly inquired about Lively’s, 36, weight with an on-set trainer before a scene where he had to lift her, TMZ reported Wednesday.
The “Jane the Virgin” actor was concerned about how to train safely to prevent injury, as he has a history of back problems.
Lively, who had recently given birth to her fourth child before filming started, felt "bothered" and body-shamed after discovering Baldoni’s remarks.
The report also mentioned tension between the co-stars over a kissing scene that Lively felt was too prolonged.
Sources had previously told Page Six that Baldoni, who directed the film, created an "extremely difficult" work environment for the cast and crew.
“It’s not just Blake,” one source shared. “None of the cast enjoyed working with Justin.”
Another industry insider revealed to Page Six that some moments on set made Lively feel uneasy about her postpartum body.
However, those close to Baldoni assured Page Six that he would never deliberately make his team feel unsupported.
Rumors of a feud between Lively and Baldoni began when fans observed that Baldoni did not join other cast members at press events.
Baldoni also chose not to appear alongside Lively at the film’s New York City premiere on August 5, where they attended from separate theaters.
