Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco and Ozark’s Tom Pelphrey are engaged

Cuoco shared a photo of them lovingly nuzzling faces, with Cuoco proudly displaying her square-cut engagement ring.

Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey certainly know how to make the most of their weekends. On Wednesday, "The Big Bang Theory" star announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Tom Pelphrey via her Instagram Stories, later confirmed by a representative to USA TODAY.

Cuoco shared an Aug. 10 photo of the couple, where they’re seen lovingly nuzzling faces, with Cuoco proudly displaying her square-cut engagement ring. "Amazing weekend," she captioned the photo. Alongside a video close-up of the ring, she wrote, "What a wild, beautiful journey life can be. Grateful for every road that led me straight to you (Tom Pelphrey)."

It wasn’t just Cuoco and Pelphrey who were thrilled about the engagement. Cuoco also posted a black-and-white picture of the couple walking with their 1-year-old daughter, Matilda, outdoors.

Pelphrey shared Cuoco's engagement photo on his Instagram Stories, along with a family photo where they are embracing Matilda, with Cuoco’s engagement ring sparkling as she rests her hand on Pelphrey’s arm.

The engagement comes two years after the couple first met at an "Ozark" premiere in April 2022. Cuoco mentioned in a May 2022 interview with USA TODAY that their manager, Andrea Pett-Joseph, introduced them, believing they were perfect for each other.

Cuoco recalled how she was instantly drawn to Pelphrey when they met, describing it as love at first sight.

The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Matilda, in March 2023. Both Cuoco and Pelphrey expressed their joy on Instagram when announcing Matilda's birth, with Pelphrey expressing deep love and gratitude for Cuoco’s strength and bravery.
