The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast light rain and cloudy skies in Karachi over the next 24 hours. Light drizzle was recorded early Thursday morning, with the temperature ranging between 30°C and 32°C.

The weather department recorded a minimum temperature of 28°C in the city, while humidity levels reached 85%. Westward winds are blowing at a speed of 13 km/h. The PMD anticipates light rain or drizzle in Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, and Badin during the day.

Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz said that monsoon winds are expected to enter lower Sindh from August 16. Under their influence, Karachi is likely to experience moderate rain with thundershowers between August 17 and 19. "Heavy rain may occur in some areas," he noted.

In anticipation of further monsoon activity, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an urban flooding alert for parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa until August 18.

The NDMA’s National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) warns that moderate to heavy rains are expected across Hazara, Malakand Division, and other districts.
