Why Travis Kelce won’t propose to Taylor Swift without a prenup
According to Life & Style, Travis Kelce won't be getting down on one knee and proposing to Taylor Swift unless there’s an “ironclad prenup” in place.
“There’s just no way Taylor would walk down the aisle without a prenup,” an insider told the publication for a report released Wednesday.
Although the couple is reportedly discussing the details of their agreement, they haven't finalized anything yet due to their unique circumstances.
“The formalities are just their schedules that have gotten in the way, as well as the logistics of a prenup, which is obviously complicated by the vast amounts of money involved on both sides,” the source explained.
“This is a lot further along than either Taylor or Travis would care to admit, since they’ve considered themselves unofficially engaged for a while and are both 100 percent committed to spending the rest of their lives together and starting a family.”
In December 2023, Page Six exclusively reported that the football star sought permission from Taylor Swift’s father, Scott Swift, to marry her. We learned that Scott "wholeheartedly" supported Kelce.
Additionally, someone close to Kelce’s circle revealed to Page Six earlier this month that an engagement is "happening soon."
The "Karma" singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 34, have been in a relationship for just over a year.
They made their relationship public in September 2023 when Taylor attended his NFL game against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, cheering him on from the stands.
Not long after going public, Kelce showed his commitment to Taylor by purchasing a $6 million mansion to ensure more privacy for their relationship.
