Authorities have initiated an investigation following reports of an alleged sexual assault on a Belgian woman in the federal capital, Express News reported.

The woman was found abandoned in Islamabad’s G-6 Sector after allegedly being sexually assaulted for five days.

The foreign national, whose hands and feet were bound, was left by unidentified individuals who fled the scene. The police were alerted by a resident who called the emergency helpline.

The Islamabad Police have set up a special committee, led by the SSP Operations, to probe the incident.
