'Politically motivated' terminations challenged in SHC

The Sindh High Court has put on notice Sindh Chief Secretary, Secretary Local Government, Mayor and Municipal Commissioner of HMC in a petition filed over the the en masse termination of 207 employees of the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (HMC) in August last year.

Some 109 sacked employees had filed the petition in the Hyderabad Circuit Bench seeking their reinstatement in the service.
