Prisoners, police, dance to patriotic songs at I-Day party

A vibrant ceremony was organised at Karachi Central Jail in connection with the 77th Independence Day celebrations, where prisoners marked the occasion with enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The ceremony saw inmates, warders and jail police dancing to national anthems and lifting each other onto their shoulders in a spirited display of national pride.

Deputy Home Secretary Shabir Jan Jiskani stressed the global shift towards rehabilitating citizens who have erred, rather than focusing solely on their confinement.
