Was Shah Rukh Khan’s $71,000 Patek Philippe watch the real star at Locarno film festival?

An IG page noted SRK’s Patek Philippe watch; its silver-tone stainless steel case, day night indicator, and lots more.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan turned heads at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland, not just for his cinematic achievements but also for his choice of accessory – a stunningly expensive wristwatch.

The King of Bollywood, who was honored with the prestigious Pardo alla Carriera award for his outstanding contributions to cinema, looked every bit the icon in an all-black ensemble.

But it was his luxurious Patek Philippe watch, valued at an eye-watering $71,000 (approximately Rs20 million), that had fans buzzing.

An Instagram page dedicated to luxury watches highlighted the exquisite details of SRK’s timepiece, noting its silver-tone stainless steel case, day and night indicator, date display, and water resistance.

The actor’s impeccable style was on full display as he paired the watch with a sleek black shirt, matching pants, and a black blazer.

Giona A Nazzaro, artistic director of the Locarno Film Festival, expressed his admiration, stating, "To welcome a living legend like Shah Rukh Khan in Locarno is a dream come true! The wealth and breadth of his contribution to Indian cinema is unprecedented. Khan is a king who has never lost touch with the audience that crowned him."

In his acceptance speech, SRK charmed the audience with his trademark wit, saying, "I want to thank you all for welcoming me with such wide arms, wider than the ones I do on screen, to this really pretty, very beautiful, cultural, artistic, and extremely hot city of Locarno. So many people stuffed up in a little square and so hot, it's just like being at home in India."
