Arshad Nadeem meets Tariq Jamil, receives cash reward of Rs500,000

Arshad Nadeem, who made history as the first Pakistani to win an individual gold medal at the Olympics, met renowned Islamic scholar Tariq Jamil.

To encourage the Olympian, Tariq Jamil presented Nadeem with a cash reward of Rs500,000. The images of their meeting quickly went viral, with social media users lauding Tariq Jamil's kindness and expressing their best wishes for Nadeem.

Arshad Nadeem won the gold medal at the Paris Olympics by throwing the javelin 92.97 metres, breaking a 118-year-old record.

Since his victory, Nadeem has been showered with rewards, including millions of rupees from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the chief ministers of Punjab and Sindh, and various organisations.
