Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential campaign is criticizing former President Trump's interview with billionaire Elon Musk, accusing Trump's campaign of catering to "self-obsessed rich guys who will sell out the middle class."

Trump participated in an interview with Musk on X Spaces, the live audio chat feature of X, the social media platform previously known as Twitter, on Monday night.

Despite a rough start due to technical issues, millions of people eventually tuned in, as shown by the live tracker during the conversation.

In Monday's interview, Musk spoke with Trump about his controversial views on topics like immigration, last month's assassination attempt at a campaign rally and inflation.

The Harris campaign criticized Trump after the interview, targeting the policy ideas he discussed and taking a swipe at the technical issues that occurred during the X Space session.

"Donald Trump's extremism and dangerous Project 2025 agenda is a feature not a glitch of his campaign, which was on full display for those unlucky enough to listen in tonight during whatever that was on X.com," said Harris campaign spokesperson Joseph Costello in a statement, referring to the issues showcased during the interview on X.com.

"Trump’s entire campaign is in service of people like Elon Musk and himself — self-obsessed rich guys who will sell out the middle class and who cannot run a livestream in the year 2024."
