Car sales in Pakistan rise by 58%

Honda Civic and City sales surged by 279% in July 2024, reaching 790 units.

Car sales in Pakistan saw a significant increase of 58.21% in July 2024 compared to the same month last year, according to data released by the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA).

A total of 5,857 cars were sold in July, up from 3,702 units in the same period in 2023.

The data reveals notable growth across several key models.

Honda Civic and City sales surged to 790 units in July 2024, a substantial rise from 208 units sold in the same month last year.

Toyota Corolla and Yaris also recorded a 3.65% increase, with 1,106 units sold compared to 1,067 in July 2023.

Suzuki Swift experienced a remarkable 101.60% jump in sales, reaching 502 units from 249 units last year.

However, not all models saw growth; Suzuki Cultus sales dropped to 96 units, down from 177 units in the previous year, and Suzuki WagonR sales also declined to 139 units from 245 units.

On the other hand, Suzuki Alto witnessed a 99.23% rise, with sales climbing from 1,440 units to 2,869 units.

Suzuki Bolan also saw an increase, with 288 units sold compared to 146 units in July 2023.
