ABC's hit reality dating series, The Bachelor, has announced its next leading man: Grant Ellis.  A former contestant on the current season of The Bachelorette, Ellis was eliminated in week six but is now ready to embark on his own journey to find love.

The 30-year-old former pro basketball player and day trader from New Jersey is looking for a partner who shares his values of loyalty, humor, and appreciation for life's simple pleasures. Ellis' casting marks another step towards greater diversity in the long-running franchise, which has faced criticism in the past for its lack of representation.

The Bachelor will return for its 29th season in 2025 on ABC and Hulu. Before that, viewers can look forward to the Golden Bachelorette, the first-ever senior spinoff with a Bachelorette at the helm, starring 61-year-old Joan Vassos.

The Bachelor franchise continues to evolve and expand, with the upcoming seasons promising both familiar romance and new twists.
