PESHAWAR:

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that his party was leading an anti-government campaign against electoral rigging.

The JUI-F chief stated that he was leveraging his "street power and speech power" to protest against the government and vowed that his movement would continue until the government is ousted.

He asserted that the nation cannot stomach the irregularities that occurred in the February 8 elections.

He expressed these views during his meeting with senior Awami National Party leader and veteran politician Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour on Monday to discuss the prevailing political situation in the country.

During the meeting at Bilour House, the two leaders also deliberated on the ongoing anti-government movements led by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamaat-e-Islami, and JUI-F.

He also highlighted the unbearable inflation that has been escalating daily which, he said, was making life increasingly difficult for the public.

Echoing Fazl's sentiments, Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour of the Awami National Party asserted that his party was also in the field against electoral rigging.
