Ed Kelce slams Kanye West over lyrics name-dropping Taylor Swift and Travis

Ed Kelce, father of NFL star Travis Kelce, has made his feelings clear about Kanye West mentioning his son in a recent song. 

Ed reposted an article from the Daily Mail, which highlighted Kanye’s lyrics from his new track "Lifestyle (Demo)." The line in question states, "I twist my Taylor spliffs tight at the end like Travis Kelce," referencing both Travis and pop icon Taylor Swift.

This seemingly casual lyric has stirred up tensions, especially considering Kanye’s long-standing feud with Taylor Swift. Ed Kelce didn’t hold back his thoughts, captioning his repost with, "Mental illness on full display."

This comment points to Kanye’s known struggles with bipolar disorder, a condition the rapper has openly discussed in the past.

The feud between Kanye and Taylor dates back to the infamous 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, where Kanye interrupted Taylor's acceptance speech. 

The tension escalated with Kanye's 2016 song "Famous," where he claimed to have "made that bitch famous." A leaked phone call between Kanye and Taylor further fueled the conflict, with Taylor later expressing her discomfort with the song’s lyrics, particularly the derogatory term used.

Ed Kelce’s strong reaction suggests that Kanye’s continued references to Taylor, especially involving his son, are unwelcome. With the history between Kanye and Taylor already fraught with controversy, this latest development adds another layer to the ongoing saga.
