Over the weekend, Stephen Curry’s exceptional 24-point game clinched the Olympic gold medal for the United States, leaving fans and even brands buzzing.

In a light-hearted response, McDonald’s France took to Instagram to joke about rethinking their classic curry sauce after Curry's stellar performance against their national team.

“For obvious reasons, we are considering removing this sauce,” the company posted, hinting at changing the sauce's name or pulling it altogether, humorously attributing the decision to Curry's dominance on the court.

The golden match saw Curry sinking critical 3-pointers in the closing minutes, including a decisive shot with only 33 seconds left, securing a nine-point lead and ultimately, the victory over France.

This marked the second consecutive Olympics where the U.S. faced France in the gold medal battle, stirring a fierce but friendly rivalry.

Team USA’s coach, Steve Kerr, praised his team’s spirit, emphasizing their resilience and love for high-pressure situations.

Curry himself shared his mindset during those crucial moments.

"All I saw was the rim. I didn’t see who was in front of me. I knew it was kind of a late clock situation, but that one impressed myself,” he recounted.

The celebration was marred slightly by an incident involving Curry's wife, Ayesha, and mother, Sonya, who reportedly had a run-in with French police post-game, although details remain sparse.
