Minority communities pay tribute to Jinnah

Sindh Assembly Deputy Speaker Anthony Naveed stated on Sunday that Pakistan's minority communities hold Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in high regard for his landmark speech on August 11, 1947, where he declared complete religious freedom for minorities.

Naveed highlighted that on August 11, 2009, then-President Asif Ali Zardari designated this day as National Minority Day, a decision that is widely appreciated by minority communities across the country. He said PPPP has brought individuals from various minority groups into legislative bodies.

These remarks were made during Naveed's visit to the Jinnah Mausoleum. The event was attended by Sindh Government Spokesperson Sadia Javed, Ramesh Singh from the Sikh community, Krishna Patel from the Parsi community, Pastor Mauazzam June, Pastor Achar Mansha, Sister Noshia, as well as city and town councillors, and many others from diverse religious communities.
