Sabrina Carpenter and Kacey Musgraves perform These Boots Are Made For Walkin cover at Outside Lands
Sabrina Carpenter surprised fans at the Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco on Saturday night (August 10) by bringing out country star Kacey Musgraves as a special guest during her set. The pop singer, known for hits like 'Espresso,' teased the crowd before introducing Musgraves, stating, "She won’t come out though, unless you’re very loud." Carpenter then excitedly instructed, "Bay Area, please make some noise for the one and only Kacey Musgraves," leading into their collaborative cover of Nancy Sinatra’s classic hit, 'These Boots Are Made For Walkin’.' Carpenter added to the performance by playing the tambourine, enhancing the energetic atmosphere.

In addition to the special guest appearance, Carpenter added a theatrical element to her set by wearing a sash that read, ‘I’m headlining bitch.’ She also delivered a medieval-inspired outro to her song 'Nonsense,' reading from a scroll with the lines, “Soon cometh my album so exciting / My heart doth pound beneath my breasts so mighty / Outside Lands it’s like thou art inside me.”
This memorable performance comes ahead of the release of Carpenter’s upcoming album, ‘Short N’ Sweet,’ which was announced in June. The album is scheduled for release on August 23 through Island Records. Fans can pre-order and pre-save the album now.
The festival performance and Carpenter’s creative flair have generated significant buzz, with fans expressing their excitement on social media. One fan tweeted, “Obsessed with Sabrina Carpenter and Kacey Musgraves’ cover of 'These Boots Are Made For Walkin'!”
