Rapper Blueface sentenced to four years in prison after parole violation

Rapper Blueface, born Johnathan Porter, has been sentenced to four years in prison for violating parole.

Rapper Blueface, whose real name is Johnathan Porter, has been sentenced to four years in prison following a parole violation. The 27-year-old turned himself in earlier this year in January after violating the terms of his probation, which stemmed from a 2021 incident where he assaulted a security guard at a club in the San Fernando Valley. The sentencing, initially scheduled for last month, was delayed until Friday, when Porter received the maximum sentence after being found with drug paraphernalia.

Porter’s legal troubles have been ongoing, as he was also arrested in 2022 in connection with a shooting incident in Las Vegas. His manager, Wack 100, told TMZ that there is a possibility Porter could receive credit for the 440 days he has already served. If this credit is applied, the State of California may require him to serve only one-third of the remaining sentence.

The case highlights the challenges Porter has faced with the law over recent years, and his sentencing marks a significant moment in his legal battles. The four-year prison term could be reduced depending on the application of time served and other legal considerations. The rapper, known for hits like “Thotiana,” now faces a significant period away from his music career as he serves his sentence.
