Travis Scott has been released, and no charges are pending related to the incident at his Paris hotel during the 2024 Olympics, according to the rapper’s representatives.

The 33-year-old “Goosebumps” artist was detained early Friday after a dispute with his bodyguard at the luxury Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris.

But his reps told Page Six by Saturday morning, “Travis Scott has been released with no charges.”

A source familiar with the rap star further told us, “He was arrested over an argument with his bodyguard over getting harassed and swarmed dangerously,” by paparazzi. “French police overreacted and arrested and held him for 24 hours over for an argument. [There was] no violence.”

French prosecutors have not yet released a statement. ABC News reported that Scott was held overnight.

The dispute between Scott and his bodyguard happened at the luxury hotel in Paris’ 8th arrondissement, following Scott’s attendance at the Team USA basketball game against Serbia at the Olympics.

A source told Page Six that the argument between Scott and his bodyguard was related to local paparazzi at the hotel where Scott was staying.

“They were screaming at each other, and the hotel freaked out and called the cops,” an insider said of the scene.

A source also informed Page Six that Scott had been followed by paparazzi throughout the city during the Olympics.

The source claimed that a paparazzo was reportedly searching through the trunk of Scott’s car, prompting the rapper to question his bodyguard about allowing the photographer access, which led to the argument.

Later, footage surfaced showing Scott being escorted out of a luxury hotel in handcuffs.
