Imran Khan believes PML-N, PPP causing public-military rift: PTI's Omar Ayub
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Omar Ayub claimed that the PTI supremo Imran Khan believes PML-N and PPP are deliberately creating a rift between the public and the military.
Speaking at the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), Omar emphasised that politics should remain the domain of politicians, while the military, equipped with G3 rifles, cannons, tanks, and the Air Force with aircraft and JF-17s, should focus solely on their designated roles.
He insisted that the military, FC, and intelligence agencies are tools of the state and must strictly operate within their constitutional boundaries.
Omar also highlighted the urgent need for an 'independent Election Commission,' asserting that only a strong Prime Minister can steer the country through the ongoing crisis.
He criticised the current government, 'established under Form 47,' as 'ineffective,' pointing to the recent increase in electricity prices, which according to him had placed a significant strain on those earning twenty to twenty-five thousand rupees per month.
Omar called for the immediate release of the CCTV footage from the May 9 incident, noting that Imran Khan plans to take legal action to obtain it, concluding by clearing that PTI has no ongoing deal with any party.
