Kids from nomad families vaccinated

District Health Officer for Preventive Services Dr Khalid Channar said that vaccination was under way to protect children of nomadic families from measles, polio and other diseases.
He said that vaccinations were being conducted under the health department's crash programme at locations where nomadic families reside.
He emphasised that significant attention was being devoted to eradicating measles, polio and other diseases.
Regular monitoring of all activities was being carried out, he added.
Dr Channar said the health department has registered more than 6,500 children from nomadic communities and vaccination and other health services are being provided to them.
