Speculation about Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s engagement reached a fever pitch after Gomez shared a suggestive post on her Instagram Stories on August 8, 2024. In the photo, Gomez is seen taking a mirror selfie in a bathroom, wearing a champagne-colored midi dress, while Blanco stands barefoot in the background, dressed in floral pants and a white tank top.

What caught fans' attention was Gomez's decision to cover the fourth finger of her left hand with a heart emoji, a spot typically reserved for engagement or wedding rings. She captioned the photo, “A night out,” further fueling engagement rumors.

This post follows a blind item shared by popular gossip account Deuxmoi at the beginning of the week. The item, widely believed to be about Gomez and Blanco, claimed that a singer-actress “got engaged over the weekend to her boyfriend of a year” at their usual beach house hangout, surrounded by friends. Gomez is known to own a beach vacation house in Malibu, where she films her show "Selena + Chef" and frequently spends time with Blanco.

Adding to the speculation, Blanco expressed his desire to marry Gomez during an interview with Howard Stern in May. When Stern predicted marriage for the couple, Blanco responded without hesitation, “You and me both."

While there has been no official confirmation from Gomez or Blanco regarding their engagement, the Instagram post has led many fans and media outlets to believe that an announcement could be imminent. Gomez’s strategic use of the heart emoji and the timing of the post have only added to the excitement and speculation surrounding the couple’s relationship.
