In a recent episode of Call Her Daddy, Hunter Schafer, known for her role as Jules on Euphoria, broke down in tears while reflecting on the death of her co-star Angus Cloud.
Schafer, visibly emotional, spoke about the deep bond formed among the cast and the impact Cloud's passing has had on her and the show. She discussed how Cloud’s death has created a sense of anticipation and uncertainty about the future of the series.
Schafer revealed to host Alex Cooper, "The real tea is I have no f------ idea what's going on. And you could ask literally all of the cast."
She expressed that the grief from losing Cloud and other difficulties have made discussions about a potential season three challenging. She shared, "Obviously, I'm still coming to qualms with what has happened and losing people that we really loved and were a part of this family and everything."
Schafer also noted the complexities surrounding the decision for a new season, saying, "I think there's a world in which we can channel that into a beautiful season three if it's supposed to happen but I think that s--- really threw everyone for a loop."
She admitted that coping with her grief has been difficult and sometimes overwhelming, humorously adding, "it'll hit me on the f------ toilet out of nowhere."
Cloud, who passed away last year at the age of 25 from a fatal overdose, was a beloved figure on the show. Following Schafer’s emotional interview, fans have taken to social media to express their sympathy and opinions on the future of Euphoria.
Some fans have suggested that continuing the show without Cloud would not be the same, with one TikTok user stating, "I truly feel like the show can’t continue without him."
