Robert Logan, the actor famous for his role as J.R. Hale in the ABC detective series 77 Sunset Strip and Skip Robinson in The Adventures of the Wilderness Family, has passed away at the age of 82. His son, Anthony Logan, confirmed the news to PEOPLE, stating that his father died of natural causes on May 6th in Estero, Florida.

Logan's family remembers him as the "embodiment of agape," the Platonic ideal of love. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Los Angeles, Logan's acting career began after being discovered by a talent scout. In addition to his well-known roles, Logan also starred in other films and TV shows such as Across the Great Divide and Dr. Kildare.

He met his wife, Alina, on the set of A Night in Heaven in 1986, and they were married until his death. Logan is survived by his siblings, wife, children, grandchildren, and a legacy of memorable performances.
