YSL Woody causes courtroom chaos in Young Thug RICO case

YSL Woody has emerged as an unexpectedly significant figure in the Young Thug case. 

Known legally as Kenneth Copeland, the YSL affiliate has been treated as a key witness by the prosecution. 

However, Woody has shown reluctance to cooperate, vacillating on whether he'll testify against Young Thug. 

In his latest court appearance, Woody made a memorable impression by mocking the judge instead of cooperating, much to the prosecution's frustration.

Informed by Judge Whitaker, who is new to the case, that he would be held in contempt if he did not testify, Woody chose to be uncooperative.

Instead of answering the judge's questions, he posed his own. 

When asked again whether he would testify, he flippantly replied, "Depends on how I wake up." 

This response caused considerable frustration in the courtroom, and Judge Whitaker told the prosecution that Woody would need to clarify his intentions before testifying.

Woody's behind-the-scenes actions have further complicated the case. 

He has reportedly fired two attorneys assigned to him. Judge Whitaker noted this unusual pattern and insisted Woody clarify who is currently representing him. 

Woody also claimed on social media that he felt coerced into giving information about YSL, prompting the judge to scrutinize his credibility more closely.

 "I'm not sure about Mr. Copeland's credibility on anything," she remarked.

Ultimately, Judge Whitaker ruled that YSL Woody must re-testify before the court. 

A transcript released in July supported Woody's claims that he was unaware of what he was doing during his initial court appearance. 

"You waited until Friday and did this," he told his attorney at the time. "I done told you every day before Friday came that I was pleading the Fifth … Y’all done me wrong. Y’all just hold me in the jail, don’t let me get no PIN number, no nothing." 

Woody is expected to take the stand again on Monday, August 12.
