Vice President Kamala Harris and newly announced vice presidential candidate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, made their joint campaign debut at a Democratic rally on Tuesday at Girard College in Philadelphia.

The pair appeared on stage dressed in matching blue suits, with Harris donning a navy suit and a peach pink satin blouse, a style she has frequently worn throughout her presidential campaign. Walz complemented her outfit with a darker suit, white shirt, and blue tie, while his wife Gwen chose a light blue dress and matching cardigan.

The event marked the beginning of a five-day tour through seven key swing states, including Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, who was also a vice presidential contender, welcomed Harris and Walz, sporting a navy suit for the occasion.

Shapiro expressed his commitment to supporting the Harris-Walz ticket, stating, “I’m going to be working my tail off to make sure we make Kamala Harris and Tim Walz the next leaders of the United States of America.”

Walz, a 60-year-old military veteran and Midwestern governor, was introduced by Harris, who praised him as someone who inspires and connects with people.

Walz responded with gratitude, saying, “Thank you, Madam Vice President, for the trust you put in me but, maybe more so: Thank you for bringing back the joy.”
