Since BTS’s Jin concluded his military service, fans have been eagerly guessing which brands he might represent next.

Jin’s previous roles included ambassadorships for Jin Ramen, Louis Vuitton, and Samsung Galaxy.

With his return, speculation arose about a potential partnership with Gucci, especially given the Italian brand's past gifts to him and his visible preference for its products.

In a Women’s Wear Daily exclusive, Gucci has officially welcomed Jin as its new global ambassador. Jin commented on the appointment, calling Gucci “iconic” with “a long-standing heritage and modernity. It is meaningful and thrilling to be a part of such a house.”

Gucci’s Creative Director Sabato De Sarno remarked, “Jin’s warm and kind personality is truly magnetic, and his style is simply unique. He is a generous and extraordinary artist who is able to move people with his music, which makes us even more honored to share this journey with him,” as reported by WWD.

Gucci’s relationship with South Korea has been growing, with past ambassadors including EXO’s Kai and current ones like NewJeans’ Hanni, Lee Jung Jae, Park Gyu Young, and Jay Park. On October 15, Gucci will kick off its Gucci Cultural Month in Seoul to celebrate Korean culture and highlight local artists.

While some fans might have expected V, known as “Gucci boy,” to take this role or Jin to continue with Thom Browne, Jin's past affiliation with Gucci, coupled with his love for tennis and the brand’s tennis collection, makes this collaboration fitting.
