Donald Trump to sit down with Elon Musk for exclusive interview
Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, is scheduled to have a one-on-one interview with Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla, on Monday, August 12. Trump announced the interview on his Truth Social platform, stating that he would be doing a "major interview" with Musk.
Musk has not commented on the interview on his platform X, formerly known as Twitter. The interview comes as Trump seeks a return to the White House, running against Vice President Kamala Harris, who announced Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate on Tuesday.
Trump has been actively campaigning, participating in a 22-minute interview with video game streamer Adin Ross on Monday. During the livestream, Ross offered Trump a Rolex watch and a Cybertruck wrapped in a photo taken of him during the July 13 assassination attempt on his life.
Musk has been a vocal supporter of Trump, offering his complete endorsement for the former president after the assassination attempt. Musk has also been critical of Democrat policies, including President Joe Biden's support for labor unions and his decisions regarding immigration and the border.
The interview with Musk is expected to be a significant event in Trump's campaign, and details regarding the time and location of the conversation have not yet been shared.
