Zac Efron, 36, was hospitalised in Ibiza over the weekend following a swimming pool incident. On Saturday morning, Efron dove deep into a pool at a villa, hitting the bottom and ingesting a significant amount of water. According to TMZ, Efron exhibited signs of distress, prompting security to assist him immediately. He was subsequently transported to a medical facility as a precaution.

Medical officials examined Efron with chest X-rays to ensure his lungs were clear of water. Though Efron was medically cleared, he took time to leave the hospital due to a crowd of photographers. Efron later updated fans on Instagram Stories, sharing a photo of himself working out with the caption, “Happy and healthy - thanks for the well wishes.”

Efron was seen dining out in Ibiza on Sunday evening and returned to the U.S. by Monday. His representative confirmed that the hospitalization was a precautionary measure following a “minor” incident and that Efron is “recovering just fine.”

The actor’s recent activities include spending time in Europe and joining Dutch DJ Martin Garrix on stage. Efron has previously shared experiences with extreme sports and dives on social media.

This incident follows a past injury in 2013 when Efron shattered his jaw, which he later attributed to natural changes rather than surgery. Efron has addressed past plastic surgery rumours, asserting that his appearance changes were due to his injury and not cosmetic procedures.
