Jennifer Lopez 'furious' and 'humiliated' over Ben Affleck divorce

Jennifer Lopez is reportedly "furious" and "humiliated" about her breakup with Ben Affleck. A source informed Page Six that the "Gone Girl" actor is delaying filing for divorce to avoid causing her further embarrassment.

“She’s furious,” says the source. “He has humiliated her. He was the one who initiated getting back together.”

The "Jenny from the Block" singer and Affleck reunited in July 2021 after Lopez ended her engagement with Alex Rodriguez in April 2021.

Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 51, originally dated between 2002 and 2004 after their notable appearance together in the film "Gigli."

“He’s humiliated her because she made a big deal that he’s the love of her life,” explains the source. “They just had two weddings two years ago. This is some kind of a record, they’re not young kids.”

The couple secretly married in Las Vegas in July 2022, followed by another wedding celebration at Affleck’s residence in Riceboro, Georgia, the following month.

Lopez's album, "This Is Me...Now," along with the Amazon Prime documentary, "The Greatest Love Story Never Told," featuring Affleck, was inspired by their relationship.

“She is a romantic,” says our source.

It is reported that the "Hustlers" actress is also distressed because their children from previous relationships are involved.

“There are five kids involved in this,” says the source. “She knew they were going to blend families. She has not fully accepted it is over.”

Lopez has 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, from her former marriage to Marc Anthony, while Affleck has three children, Violet, 18, Fin, 17, and Samuel, 12, from his previous marriage to Jennifer Garner.

Sources say Lopez is particularly close to Violet.

Affleck, who recently bought a $20.5 million home in Pacific Palisades, California, after their marital residence was listed for $68 million, is reportedly delaying filing for divorce to prevent further embarrassment for Lopez, according to another source.

“He’s very protective of her,” says the source. 

According to TMZ, Affleck and Lopez have stopped speaking, which is said to be delaying the divorce process.
