PTI 'soon to march' on D Chowk
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has announced a PTI rally in Islamabad's D Chowk at the end of August or early September.
He challenged anyone to try and cancel the no-objection certificate for the event as he addressed a Tehreek-e-Insaf rally in Swabi.
Gandapur said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman and founder Imran Khan stood firm on what he believed in. He was of the opinion that the former prime minister was taking steps to secure the future of the country and its children.
"The founding chairman had said that he will not let the nation bow to anyone. Freedom is being taken away from us, and we cannot allow that." He said that Imran Khan believed in achieving national freedom in the truest sense of the word.
"If we do not achieve this objective, history and the nation will not forgive us. We raise our voices and promise to support Khan till the last drop of our blood. The K-P chief minister was confident that the menace of terrorism could be eliminated through proactive measures.
"It had come to an end in Imran Khan's regime. When we left the government, incidents of terrorism saw another spike." Gandapur assured that if his party returned to power, it would put an end to terrorism.
The chief minister said that when the PTI was ousted in 2022, petrol was at Rs145 per litre. "Now, the price has jumped to Rs270 per litre."
He asked which government functionaries had created lawlessness in the country. "We will fight until true freedom is achieved. In today's meeting, the views of the PTI chairman have shown that he is only thinking about the country."
Gandapur asserted that the PTI will hold its rally in Islamabad, and nobody can dare cancel the NOC. "The rally will be held at the end of August or the first week of September. "Now matters will be resolved at D Chowk."
