Weatherman rules out heavy rainfall for now

As per the Met office forecast, the metropolis is likely to receive moderate to heavy rains on Tuesday

Monsoon showers continued to lash city as a result Nazimabad recorded the highest rainfall of 77mm until Monday morning.

As per the Met office forecast, the metropolis is likely to receive moderate to heavy rains on Tuesday (today) but there are no chances of heavy downpour.

A new Monsoon system may cause more rains in the city from August 12. The weather of the city remained partly cloudy, clear and sunny on Monday after morning showers.

According to the data released by the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the highest rainfall of 77mm was recorded in Nazimabad, Sarjani Town followed with 72mm and lowest in Sadar and DHA each at 2mm only.

According to PMD Monsoon Alert on Monday, a series of powerful monsoon winds from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal are affecting Sindh. On Wednesday, there will be a chance of light rain and drizzle in Karachi.
