LAHORE:

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought replies from the federal government, provincial governments, FIA, NAB, Punjab police and others on PTI founder Imran Khan’s plea seeking details of all cases, FIRs, inquiries, detention orders and notices against him across the country.

The counsel for the PTI founder, Sardar Khurrum Latif Khosa, prayed that NAB, in violation of laws, had made repeated arrests of the petitioner in different references whereas the anti-corruption watchdog could have arrested him once in those references. He contended that Khan is currently in jail but he is being arrested in one after another case.

He requested the court to restrain the authorities from arresting the petitioner in any newly registered case or inquiry till he has access to justice by approaching the court concerned for appropriate relief.

The petitioner had requested the court to annul the cases surfacing after one year of his incarceration by declaring them maliciously motivated.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Alia Hamza has knocked the doors of the Lahore High Court for seeking protective bail to avoid her arrest in cases about which she is unaware.

The leader’s husband filed the plea, making respondents the Punjab inspector general of police (IGP) and others.
