Brittany Renner, known for her controversial past and relationship with PJ Washington, has caused a stir on social media by adopting a modest wardrobe. The 32-year-old surprised her followers with an Instagram video on August 3, where she wore a black hijab, covering most of her upper body, while delivering a message about "trust[ing] your wings."

Renner's new look has sparked a mix of reactions, with some accusing her of mocking Islam. One commenter asked, "Are you mocking Islam?" while another warned, "Don't play with folks religion if you ain't frfr." Others expressed disbelief in her sincerity, with one user saying, "She wishes… she could never be this modest or decent. It's a f**kin custom to her... a mockery."

A particularly upset Muslim user commented, "STOP DISRESPECTING MY RELIGION!!!!!!!! Islam isn't a marketing strategy, a way to get in the blogs or a way to gain attention!!!" This user emphasized the seriousness of the hijab and expressed frustration over what they saw as Renner's insincere use of the garment.

In a subsequent video posted on Sunday, Renner hinted that her modest attire might be a permanent change. "I'm currently cleaning house. Out with the old, in with the new. Manifesting a new wardrobe," she said, acknowledging the challenge of balancing her new style with existing commitments. Despite admitting the difficulty, she stated, "I'm just gonna show up and give my best. And everyday my best gets better."

Renner's wardrobe change has continued to attract criticism. Some users mocked her, comparing her to Amber Rose and questioning her motives. "This is cringe af," one user remarked, while another speculated, "There's an Arab somewhere with a s**t ton of money you tryna bag."
