International popstar Ed Sheeran has revealed his nerdy side by playing Pokémon on a massive stadium screen during his music tour. Known for hits like "Bad Habits" and "Shape of You," Sheeran took to social media to share a video of himself enjoying the game on the enormous display typically reserved for concert visuals and sports highlights.

In the video, Sheeran can be seen mashing buttons and strategizing his way through the Pokémon world, showing a side of him that fans and Pokémon enthusiasts found endearing. Addressing his fans with humor, Sheeran stated, “If I wasn’t a musician, I would be a virgin,” highlighting his self-awareness and playful personality.

Sheeran's love for Pokémon is well-documented. In 2022, he collaborated with The Pokémon Company to release a song titled "Celestial." The music video featured a variety of sketch-style Pokémon and depicted how Snorlax saved Sheeran from a car accident. The end credits prominently showcased Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Prior to the release, Sheeran had teased the collaboration by posting about Snorlax on Facebook and sharing pictures of the Pokémon soft toy at a club and sunbathing in Ibiza.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Sheeran admitted to having a nostalgic connection with Pokémon, having grown up playing the game with his brother. This deep admiration for the franchise has been a consistent part of Sheeran's public persona, and his recent stadium screen Pokémon session further cements his status as a true fan.
