Turkish shooter Yusuf Dikec invites Elon Musk to Istanbul for robot discussion
Turkish sharpshooter Yusuf Dikec has ignited a conversation about robots by reaching out to Elon Musk on social media.
Dikec, who secured a silver medal in the mixed team 10m air pistol event at the Paris 2024 Olympics, invited Musk to Istanbul to further explore the topic.
Known for his distinctive shooting technique with hands in pockets, Dikec questioned if humanoid robots could achieve similar feats and win medals with their hands in their pockets.
He directed this intriguing query to Musk, the owner of Tesla, SpaceX, and X.
On the social media platform X, Dikec posted: “Hi Elon, do you think future robots can win medals at the Olympics with their hands in their pockets? How about discussing this in Istanbul, the cultural capital that unites continents?”
Responding to Dikec, Musk stated, “Robots will hit the center of the bullseye every time.”
Last month, Musk announced that humanoid robots would enter production next year.
“Tesla will introduce truly useful humanoid robots for internal use in limited quantities next year, with plans to scale up production for other companies by 2026,” he said.
