'Cheap attention..' Ex-fiancé Umer Butt responds to Jannat Mirza's breakup claims

Following TikToker sensation Jannat Mirza’s explosive revelations on a recent podcast about her breakup with Umar Butt, the social media spotlight has turned to Umar for his side of the story.

In a subtle yet pointed Instagram post, Umar responded to Jannat's claims, stating "My parents raised me well, which is why I don't speak ill of others," taking a jab at Jannat without naming her. He added, "I'm not interested in cheap attention. May Allah keep you happy, Ameen."

Jannat recently opened up about her breakup during her appearance on actor and host Ahmad Ali Butt's podcast.

Jannat discussed her separation from Umar, stating that she wasn't prepared for the breakup but was relieved it happened before marriage, as a post-marriage separation would have been more painful.

"I think I was not ready for the breakup; why would I be ready for such a thing? But yes, I was not afraid of it, I was happy after that," Jannat stated.

She emphasised that the decision to end the relationship was not impulsive, as she and her former partner had deliberated over it for two years. "The thing that could happen in the future has happened before. I think calling off a Nikah or marriage hurts more, so it is okay that it all ended before. We talked about it before ending it. I could not live in such a relationship. I have a strong support system, including my parents and sisters," she added.
