Katy Perry teases massive tour in support of upcoming album ‘143’
Katy Perry is set to release her new album '143' on September 20, and she has announced plans for an extensive tour to promote the album. In a recent interview with Heart Radio in the UK, Perry teased the upcoming tour, saying, "I’m putting together a massive tour that I have yet to announce, but I guess that’s the preview. I will announce it soon. I will say, I’m gonna be here [London] again before the end of the year, and that’s gonna be very exciting."
The album '143' will be Perry's first since her 2020 release 'Smile'. Perry revealed that the new album is deeply personal, reflecting the love and experiences she has had in recent years. She stated, "I think I’m writing a lot and have written a lot from a place of love because I’m feeling so much of it — so much unconditional love, that love you never knew existed"
In addition to her album release, Perry has been active with her Las Vegas residency, 'Play,' which has seen her perform over 50 shows. Reflecting on her residency, Perry expressed gratitude for the communal and joyous atmosphere it fostered, saying, "It’s been a bunch of strangers under one roof singing the same song. So, there’s an energy that’s wonderful. I’ll never forget that energy. I’ll never forget the joy. I’ll never forget the happiness"
Fans can also look forward to Perry's new single, 'Lifetimes,' set to be released on August 9.
