Teenager arrested for 'raping' cow in India’s Madhya Pradesh

A teenaged boy has been arrested in Hindu-majority India's Bhopal state over accusations of sexually assaulting a cow.

The incident occurred on Saturday and was captured on video by local residents, leading to the prompt apprehension of the suspect, reportedly identified as Chhotu Malviya.

The video, circulated on social media, shows the teenager allegedly engaging in an unnatural act with the cow.

Locals quickly intervened and handed Malviya over to the police, who registered a case under Case No. 0261 at Chhola Thana police station.

The incident has sparked widespread condemnation and outrage in Bhopal, with residents calling for stricter measures against animal cruelty.

Cows are revered in Hinduism and many Hindus refer to them as “gau mata,” or mother cow.

This is not the first time Bhopal has witnessed animal cruelty. A few months ago, a youth was filmed throwing a dog into a pond.

Following his arrest, Chhotu Malviya is now facing legal proceedings for his alleged crime.
