Kesha narrowly avoided a dangerous mishap during her Lollapalooza performance when a prop knife was replaced with a real blade, unbeknownst to her.

The pop star only realized the switch after her set on Thursday night. "Sooooo apparently the prop knife went missing," she tweeted.

"And they replaced it with a real butcher knife stolen from the kitchen. And I didn’t know. Till now. So watch that again…."

The incident occurred midway through her set in Chicago, as captured in videos of her "Backstabber" performance.

While singing the track, Kesha swung the knife around and pointed it at the audience, unaware that she was holding an actual butcher knife.

In addition to this unexpected prop switch, Kesha performed her new single “Joyride,” which she released independently on July 4th after completing her contract with Kemosabe Records in December.

During her set, she also took a moment to criticize former President Donald Trump’s 2024 running mate, JD Vance.

Prior to her performance, she tweeted, "Bring your middle fingers lolla, f–k u JD Vance."

Kesha had previously condemned the Ohio senator for his sexist comments about the Democratic party, calling his remarks about "childless cat ladies" offensive.

"Booooo! F–k that man," she said to a photographer at LAX last week, as captured in a video obtained by TMZ. "That’s all I have to say. F–k them all."
