Two young women killed in attack on home

Two young women were shot dead and their mother was injured in an armed attack on their residence in Larkana districts allegedly by their relatives on Friday.

According to Rehmatpur police, armed men barged in to the residence of Azmat Ali Chandio in Nazar Mohallah in Larkana city and sprayed bullets on his family.

Police said that 19-year-old Hafeezan and 17-year-old Farah were killed while their mother Robina Chandio sustained gunshot wounds. The slain women and their mother were shifted to the Trauma Centre Larkana.

Azmat told media at the hospital that his brother Saeed Chandio, nephew Jameel Chandio, cousin Naematullah Chandio and some other men attacked his family.

According to him, due to an ongoing family dispute he shifted his residence from village Jamak Chandio to Larkana city to protect his family. He urged DIG and SSP Larkana to bring the culprits to the book. The police informed that the assailants escaped after the assault. The incident's FIR could not be lodged by Friday evening.
