City’s south receives light rain

The moderate to heavy showers on Friday targeted the southern areas of the city.

The monsoon system hanging over the city dumped highest precipitation of over 34mm in Keamari and the lowest in Nazimabad at 1.2mm.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department Karachi Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz a new monsoon system is expected to bring thunderstorms and heavy rainfall to the city from today (Saturday) to August 6. He said there were chances of light rain on Saturday and Sunday, while moderate to heavy falls were expected on Monday and Tuesday.
