As expected, nullahs, sewerage lines overflow
KARACHI:
The city's chocked sewerage system was unable to handle even the light to moderate rain going on for the past few days.
Many areas were swamped by rainwater whereas, a two-foot wide sewerage line sank in the ground on Five Star intersection in North Nazimabad exposing the quality of work of the civic authorities.
The areas most affected after rains on Friday include the city's commercial and financial hub, the II Chundrigar Road, Soldier Bazaar, Saddar, Urdu Bazaar, Keamari and Ram Swami.
