Taxi driver rapes woman passenger

A woman has been raped by an online taxi driver in Sabzazar area on Friday.

Police said a woman went to see her friend in Chungi Amar Sadhu area. She booked an online taxi to return home to Sabzazar. As she reached home, the driver asked her to let him in to drink water.

When the victim went inside to bring a glass of water, the driver secretly enters the house and raped the victim. According to the victim, her friend was present inside the house at the moment. She lodged a complaint with the local police station.

An FIR has been registered. Police said that they were searching for the suspect using technology.
