Television actor Komal Aziz may not yet have joined the ranks of married women, but what is certain is that she has given ample thought to tying the knot — if she can only find the right man to do it with. The only thing standing in her way? Her own lofty standards.
“I haven’t got married yet because my standards are too high,” admitted the Bharosa Pyar Tera actor ruefully in an appearance on the FHM podcast. Diving a little deeper into just what kind of man could have a hope of complying to those high standards, Komal added, “I would ideally prefer an entrepreneur because they think really big.”
In Komal’s eyes, what she needs in her life is “a whole man, just like I am a whole woman.”
“I don’t want half a man,” added the actor dismissively. “I want to be able to respect my husband and surrender to him, but how can I do that if he is not several steps ahead of me spiritually, financially, physically? I just won’t be able to respect him [the way he deserves] otherwise.”
With the conversation taking a turn towards cold hard cash, Komal, in a her deadpan manner, added, “A woman inspires a man to make money.” Elaborating on the actions of her would-be entrepreneurial husband, she added, “If I say Fendy, he will go and make money!”
Komal conceded that it was not a dealbreaker to be a Fendi aficionado or be addicted to luxury brands in general, but pointed out that it would certainly help. Moreover, she theorised that having a materialistic outlook could only work towards the greater good.
“If I always say I want to eat ‘sooki roti’, it’s not helping the economy at all!” joked Komal. “And it is my responsibility to make the economy of Pakistan better!”
