TTP declared as 'Fitna al Khwarij'

Ministry directs govt entities to mention them as 'Khaarji'

ISLAMABAD:

The government has declared Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan as 'Fitna al Khwarij', directing all government entities to start mentioning the people associated with the proscribed organization as 'Khaarji' in all official correspondence and documents.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry for Interior, "Keeping in view the involvement of the so-called Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in activities which are detrimental to Islamic faith and which actually are in contradiction to the true teachings and essence of Islam, it has been decided that, henceforth, TTP will be referred to as 'Fitna al Khwarij'".

The interior ministry communiqué said all the honorific religious titles such as 'Mufti' and 'Hafiz' shall not be used with the people associated with them, adding their names shall be prefixed with the title 'Khaarji' in all correspondence and documents.
