CAA fails to recover Rs1.38tr

The CAA has been unable to collect over Rs1.38 trillion from various operators and license holders including the national flag carrier—the PIA, reveals an audit report.

The CAA was supposed to implement various monthly license fees from the PIA and other license holders under different agreements. According to the audit report, the CAA administration failed to recover Rs1.38 trillion and Rs640 million. The non-recovery was identified from January to May 2023.

In response to this issue, the authority stated that efforts are ongoing to recover dues from defaulters, including the PIA. However, the audit report rejected this response.
