Renner, known for his role as Clint Barton/Hawkeye, shared his thoughts on the possibility of an Avengers reunion in an interview.

Robert Downey Jr., who gained worldwide fame as Tony Stark/Iron Man, has returned to the MCU in a surprising twist as Doctor Doom. "I think it’s going to be challenging to get everybody together. I think they’re going to probably have to piece it together like week-by-week, just for people’s schedules," Renner stated.

The actor noted that the expanded universe and numerous new storylines further complicate a reunion. "There’s so many wonderful characters in them. I think it’s going to be challenging to get everybody together," he added.

He recounted his reaction upon learning the news online, saying, "I’m like, ‘What’s going on? Are you hiding this from us?’ I don’t know. That’s exciting news, man. I’m really, really excited about it."

Downey Jr. is set to portray Victor Von Doom in the upcoming movie, "Avengers: Doomsday" (2026), followed by "Avengers: Secret Wars" (2027). Renner shared that he had blown up Downey Jr.’s phone in their original Avengers group chat, which includes Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, and Mark Ruffalo, expressing his excitement over the development.
