Potential Vice President candidate Pete Buttigieg was seen in NYC this week with his former communications adviser, Lis Smith.

According to sources, many were surprised to see the politicians dining at Piggyback, a trendy Chelsea spot owned by “Top Chef” alum Leah Cohen.

The Beltway insiders “walked in with two big cops,” said a spy. “Super weird … but Pete talked to the bartender for a while” and “shook hands [with] people in the kitchen when he was leaving. Nice dude.”

The source mentioned that the Secretary of Transportation, who is being considered as Kamala Harris' running mate, “seemed really nice and low-key,” and that he and the former Bill de Blasio consultant (who previously dated Eliot Spitzer) had a discussion in a secluded area of the restaurant.

Cocktail offerings at the venue include unique drinks named, "Make Me a Bicycle," "WTF, Gatsby," "I'm On the List," and "Rain Delay."

The dinner menu features delicacies such as Korean honey butter wings, shrimp fried rice, crispy Taiwanese pork chop, Malaysian fried chicken, and steak frites.

Buttigieg, one of Vice President Harris' most prominent supporters, recently participated in a Zoom event with the group "White Dudes for Harris."
