In November 2023, Frank Ocean hinted at unreleased music for the first time since December 2021. This week, he has resumed posting cryptic content on his Instagram Story.

On Monday, July 29, Ocean shared a photo of himself playing guitar in a studio. Jenski on X (formerly Twitter) perfectly captured the moment with: “I know Frank Ocean was manically laughing posting that picture of him in the studio knowing damn well he’s not putting out sh*t.”

In other words, anyone still attempting to guess if or when Ocean will release his first album since 2016's Blonde is only setting themselves up for disappointment. Instead, people should simply appreciate any public signs of life from Ocean.

On Wednesday, July 31, Ocean posted multiple updates to his Instagram Story. One of the videos featured Ocean in a suit, swaying back and forth while holding a coffee.

The following photo was a thirst trap—a shirtless Ocean sticking his tongue out in a mirror selfie.

The picture was followed by a sunset photo, a shot of an unidentified man’s back, a steep staircase that Ocean likely climbed, and a stunning rainbow over the ocean.
